At Speratum we have molecularly designed and engineered the missing microRNAs in order to inject them into the body, effectively restoring their function.
Replacing the missing miRNA in the tumors restores their regulatory function in a natural manner, without the side effects of chemotherapy.
This is our way of using the body’s natural miRNA processing mechanisms to treat cancer.
Speratum has obtained a worldwide exclusive license for all therapeutic applications of this technology, which was co-invented by Speratum team members.
We have also developed a nanoparticle encapsulation technology that makes delivery of the miRNA possible, enabling efficient uptake and delivery to tumors.
This frontline technology will be used to deliver our lead candidate to pancreatic tumors, and opens the possibility for delivery of miRNAs and small molecules for treatment of cancer and other diseases.
